Coleman Pressley and Jasper Engines and Transmissions reunite for Richmond race
 
RICHMOND, Va. (September 8, 2010) – Coleman Pressley and a very familiar name to the Pressley family have once again reunited to come on board the No. 23 Chevrolet of R3 Motorsports.
 
For the third time this season, Jasper Engines and Transmissions will be a primary partner with Pressley and the team. This time, for Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Speedway.  
 
“I think it’s great Jasper is back with us this weekend,” Pressley said. “My dad (Robert) had them on his car for years and everyone remembers him in that ride. This will be my first start in the new-style Nationwide cars. I’m looking to learn all I can with this new car and have a great run with R3 Motorsports. 
 
“It makes me proud to carry the Jasper name on my car like my dad did during his Cup career. Now, I just need to go out there and have a good run for everyone. I’m looking for to it and would like to thank the people at Jasper for their support.”
 
This continues the team’s efforts to secure a Primary Marketing partner for Pressley to compete full time next year. The team is also seeking to fill more races with the 21-year old, third generation NASCAR driver for more races this season.

About Us:

R3 Motorsports is prepared to make a statement during the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series Season in a larger way than they have in the past.

The young team made its entrance into the world of racing in 2004 fielding its first team in the NASCAR Southeast Touring Division featuring Robert Richardson, Jr. as their primary driver.

As Richardson's career began to take off, so did the future of R3 Motorsports. With the improved success on each level of competition, R3 Motorsports began to grow and progress through the racing ranks. Through the Southeast Touring Division, Super Late Model Series, ARCA and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, R3 Motorsports continued to grow and develop a prominence within NASCAR racing. The 2009 season had a full season of competition in the NASCAR Nationwide Series ranks with Richardson, Jr. and Ken Butler III sharing driving duties in the No. 23 Chevrolet.

In 2010, Richardson returns as the featured driver of the No. 23 Chevrolet. In 2009, he made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut finishing an impressive 18th place at Talladega Superspeedway in October.

"This team was built on a love for racing," said Robert Richardson, Sr., team owner. "When Rob (Richardson, Jr.) decided he wanted to race, I thought developing R3 Motorsports would be a strong step in the right direction for his career. We have continued to build on a solid foundation since 2004, and I see the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series season to be another step in that direction."

A businessman from McKinney, Texas, Richardson, Sr., has a strong business history with North Texas Pipe. With an avid love of hunting and fishing, Richardson, Sr. is a Texas cowboy who now adds the title of "NASCAR team owner" to his extensive resume.

"We have had great success working with our sponsoring partners in the past, and we're looking to continue that even more so this year," said Richardson, Sr. "This year, we have the right people in the right place to make R3 Motorsports more competitive on and off the track."

Racing Highlights/History:

Robert Richardson, Jr. won the Lonestar Late Model Series in his native Texas. Won a Late Model race at Texas Motor Speedway and competed in ARCA races in achieving his goal of competing in NASCAR. Through the past few seasons, R3 Motorsports has competed in NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series races earning six top-20 finishes, combined, at Talladega Superspeedway and Daytona International Speedway. In 2009, Richardson, Jr. made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Talladega earning a respectable 18th-place finish.

Will compete in the 2010 Daytona 500 with a guaranteed starting spot. Is also going to race at the Talladega and Daytona July Sprint Cup races this season.

Long Term Team Racing Goals:

To provide full-time employment to our current team members and add more jobs in the future. We want to be more successful on the track, and achieve maximum exposure towards our marketing partners. In addition to winning races and earning top finishes, we want to become a positive influence on how our series is perceived by fans in the stands, and in the boardrooms of corporations, as well.

How we have obtained and promoted sponsors past and present:
By cultivating personal relationships with partners and showing what R3 Motorsports can provide above and beyond just putting their name/logo on our No. 23 Chevrolet. We provided a maximum ROI through our personal and professional execution of plans, meet and greets with our driver and team, media opportunities in the TV/radio/print/electronic realm to get their name and product to the consumer. We provided pit passes, hauler tours and pit box access during races. When our marketing partners come to the track, they feel like part of the team, not a guest. With our newly structured management we have increased our on-track performance, marketing initiatives, public relations endeavors and professional appearance at and away from the track. This is going to be a solid year for R3 Motorsports and any partner that comes on board will be part of that success.
Why we are good candidates for sponsorship:
We are a family-owned team devoid of multiple levels of departments where getting an answer or request filled is done quickly. Any marketing partner that joins us in the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series season will be part of the team in more than just a sponsor/team relationship. Our partners are not funding private planes and million-dollar motorcoaches. All they are funding is racing, and having fun. If we can't do both, then we aren't going to go racing. Our marketing partners will get maximum ROI and interaction with any initiatives they may present for customers, VIPs and garnering of new customers. The personal touch put forth to get the team to the track, is also passed on to the partners who are part of our team.

Our goals for our sponsors:
To utilize our team's success and awareness by offering maximum exposure for our marketing partners. When other teams and fans see our team, we want them to know us as the No. 23 (insert partner) Chevrolet team in NASCAR. We want their executives, VIPs and employees to rally around the team and see our car as "their" car.
