MEGAN REITENOUR MAKES HISTORY AT TRI COUNTY MOTOR SPEEDWAY 

STATESVILLE, NC  –  Reitenour 19, Miamisburg Ohio native who now resides in Statesville, NC and drives for Mooresville based Revolution Racing as part of NASCAR's prestigious Drive for Diversity Program makes history. Reitenour became the first female to win a feature race at Tri-County Motor Speedway, taking Friday night's Firecracker 150 late model race. 
 
Reitenour who qualified second in the No. 5 Air Tight Mechanical Revolution Racing Late Model started on the front row. Reitenour exercised extreme patience throughout the race by strategically riding in the third position, until her opportunity arose to take over the lead. 
 
After the final caution, Reitenour maintained her position for the final 78 laps and took the checkered flag a straight away ahead of the field. 
 
Megan said, "I want to thank my crew chief, Danny Johnson and my car chief, Lynn Martin for giving me a great car to win with and great advice to remain patient and take care of my equipment, until we could cease the opportunity and win the race. It was a great night for the No. 5 Revolution Racing Team. I would like to thank NASCAR, and our entire Revolution Racing organization and team for their support and opportunity."

About Me:

Hello... My name is Megan Reitenour. I hail from Miamisburg, Ohio. I'm part of a third generation of racers in my family. I was involved with racing from the time I could walk. I attribute my success to my team, family, friends and independent sponsors. I'm thankful to the people that believe in me and have tried to help me in my quest. I get great satisfaction from being part of a group that represents young ladies in the sport of racing and I look forward to the goals and challenges ahead of me.

Racing Career Highlights/History:

I began my career racing Quarter Midgets at the age of five years old. To date, I have over 200 wins and seven championships. In 2008, I was selected as a development driver for Nesbitt Racing Enterprises, in the Super Cup Stock Car Series. I finished second in the series points standings, missing the championship by seven points, and was named Rookie of the Year. I was the only driver in the series to post three victories for the season.

In 2008 I was selected for the first time to participate in the 2008 Drive for Diversity Testing & Evaluation Combine. My performance at the Combine earned me a position as a 2009 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver. 2010 will be my second year in securing a position on the team. I'm only one of ten drivers in the nation selected to participate in the program. 

Last year I raced in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, competing in the center of NASCAR country at Tri-County Speedway in Hudson, NC. I had 7 top five finishes, 16 top ten finishes in seventeen events and won Rookie of the Year Honors. I was only one of two drivers in the program to do so.

I'm also very involved in my community and my race community. I hope to bring recognition by my on the track success and off the track community service, to causes which are near to my heart, including Multiple Sclerosis, Melanoma Cancer, Eosinophlic Disease and the well being and care of animals.

Long Term Career/Racing Goals:

My short term goal is to secure a position driving in the Arca/Remax or Camping World East Series.  Move on to Craftsman Truck Series or Busch series racing at the next step toward my long-term goal which is to  secure a position competitively racing in the Sprint Cup Series.

How I have obtained and promoted my sponsors past and present:
I have many ways of effectively promoting my sponsors. Some of the most key ways are through my press releases and newsletters. I have my sponsors link on my website and I keep it current and updated with late breaking information on a regular basis. I also provide information to a wide area of distribution, series promoters, and all media personnel, to include radio and television interviews. I have options of exposure in different series that would include national television exposure. I'm active on face book and twitter. I have sponsor logo's on my apparel, autograph cards etc. I do an agreed upon driver appearances, hospitality events and have product placement opportunities for my sponsors available.
Why I am a good candidate for sponsorship:
I feel I would be a great candidate for sponsorship because I always try to represent my sponsors and myself in a manner in which I feel they would be proud of me. I'm hard working, successful, dependable, attractive, bright, well spoken with a lot of media savvy and determination. I understand the industry and I'm totally committed to continuing my rise to the top and I want to bring my sponsors with me for the ride. I feel my personality and skill makes me a valuable asset to my current and future sponsors.
My goals for my sponsors:
My goals for my sponsors is to find out what expectations/needs that will best benefit them. I do this by developing a plan and put that plan into action. Once getting a sponsor, I'm committed in meeting my commitments and my sponsors expectations and I'm focused on keeping longevity with any partnership.
